Additional information

The test substance is most probably not acutely harmful to algae as demonstrated by a study sponsored by Sasol Germany GmbH in 1997. In a test according to EU method C.3 an ErC50 of 710 mg/L was determined. These results are supported by a BASF study conducted in 1990. The ErC50, recalculated from the fluorescence data, after 72 hours of exposure was determined to be > 100 mg/L.
