First-aid measures

* Skin Contact: After contact with skin, wash immediately with plenty of water. Remove and wash contaminated clothing before re-use.
* Eye contact: In the case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water and seek medical advice.
* Inhalation: Move to fresh air. If breathing is difficult, give oxygen. Seek medical advice
* Ingestion: Drink 1 or 2 glasses of water.

Note: Most important symptoms and effects, both acute and delayed
- Symptoms: None known
* Indication of any immediate medical attention and special treatment needed
- Immediate Medical Assistance Required: No
- Advice to physician : Treat symptomatically.
- Emergency Equipment: Ensure that eyewash stations and safety showers are close to the workstation location.

Fire-fighting measures

* Extinguishing media:
- Suitable Extinguishing Media: Carbon dioxide, dry chemicals, foam, water spray (mist).
- Unsuitable Extinguishing Media: None
* Special hazards arising from the substance or mixture
- Exposure Hazards: Compounds containing phenolic groups are known to have severe dust explosivity rating. Employ bonding, grounding, venting and explosion relief provisions in accord with accepted engineering practices in process operations capable of generating dust and/or static electricity. Explosion hazard can be reduced by good housekeeping, prevention of the escape of dust from process equipment and prevention of accumulation of dust on overhead, horizontal surfaces. In addition, a continuing effort should be made to control ignition sources.
* Advice for firefighters:
- Protective equipment and precautions for firefighters: Wear self-contained breathing apparatus and protective suit.

Accidental release measures

* Personal precautions, protective equipment and emergency procedures:
- Personal Precautions: Ventilate the area. Avoid dust formation.
* Environmental precautions
- Environmental Precautions: Contain any spill with dikes or absorbents to prevent migration and entry into sewers or streams.
* Methods and material for containment and cleaning up
- Methods for Clean-up: Sweep up and shovel into suitable containers for disposal.

Handling and storage

* Precautions for safe handling
- Handling This product may present a dust explosion hazard. Local exhaust is needed at source of dust. Mechanical
ventilation is recommended.
- Dust Explosion Properties Potential dust explosion hazard Compounds containing phenolic groups are known to have severe dust explosivity rating.
* Conditions for safe storage, including any incompatibilities
- Storage: Keep containers tightly closed in a dry, cool and well-ventilated place.
* Specific end use
- Specific end use: No information available
- Avoid any releases into the environment

Stability and reactivity

* Reactivity
- Reactivity Hazard: No data available
* Chemical stability
- Stability: Stable under recommended storage conditions. Compounds containing phenolic groups are known to have severe dust explosivity rating. Employ bonding, grounding, venting and explosion relief provisions in accord with accepted engineering practices in process operations capable of generating dust and/or static electricity. Explosion hazard can be reduced by good housekeeping, prevention of the escape of dust from process equipment and prevention of
accumulation of dust on overhead, horizontal surfaces. In addition, a continuing effort should be made to control ignition sources.
* Possibility of hazardous reactions
- Possibility of Hazardous Reactions: None under normal processing
* Conditions to avoid
- Conditions to Avoid: Avoid dust formation. Keep away from heat.
* Incompatible materials
- Materials to avoid: Avoid strong reducing agents. Strong oxidizing agents.
* Hazardous decomposition products
- Hazardous decomposition products Carbon oxides. Nitrogen oxides (NOx).

Disposal considerations

Dispose in a safe manner in accordance with local/national regulations.
