Description of key information

The adsorption coefficient of test substance, Centralit, on soil and on sewage sludge was estimated. The HPLC method with reference compounds was used.
The test was performed according to the Method C.19, Estimation of the adsorption coefficient (KOC) on soil and sewage sludge using high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC), Council Regulation (EC) No 440/2008, Published in O.J.L 142, 2008.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

Low log Koc indicate limited sorption. The test substance can be considered to have a moderate to low soil sorption (according to following classification scheme - moderate sorption 3.5 > log Koc > 2.5, low sorption 2.5 > log Koc > 1.5).

Other adsorption coefficient indicated as dimensionless:
- other: log Koc (soil) ,2.58 at the temperature 25.0°C
- other: log Koc (sludge) ,2.5 at the temperature 25.0°C
