Additional information

There only limited physico-chemical data available for Santicizer 261A®. Thus data has been gathered for DEHP, DIDP and DINP for the purposes of read-across. These phthalates are similar in structure and are expected to have similar properties.

EU Risk Assessments are available for DIDP, DINP and DEHP. These risk assessment reports (RARs) have been considered reliable for use as supporting and weight of evidence studies as they reflect a thorough regulatory review of the available information at the times of their compliations.

Data on physical properties were obtained from a number of secondary sources. The data in these secondary sources are based on a critical evaluation of peer-reviewed data and the selected values are considered to be reliable and representative of the property under investigation. Information in the review process was documented in the introduction of the source. The use of Klimisch codes (Klimisch et al., 1997), was extended to these secondary sources and a reliability code of (2) valid with restrictionswas assigned when using the authoritative secondary source. For boiling point, vapour pressure, partition coefficient and water solubility appropriate EPI Suite QSAR models have been used as key studies. Klimisch scores of 2 have also been given to this calculated data.
