Given the physico-chemical properties of phosphine, the ultimate fate of PH3 in the environment is oxidation to phosphoric acid and subsequent integration into the natural phosphorous-cycle. Furthermore, the substance is liable to be oxidized to phosphate in biological systems.

Therefore, Phosphine is not likely to bioaccumulate
