Administrative data
First-aid measures
- Contact with eyes: Wash with water or saline. Keep eyelids open during flushing. Consult your doctor and show the label.
- Contact with skin: Remove clothing (possibly shoes) contaminated. Wash the affected area with soap or mild detergent and rinse thoroughly with water until the complete removal of the substance (15-20 minutes). Tell your doctor immediately and show the label.
- Ingestion: if swallowed, rinse mouth thoroughly with water. Tell your doctor immediately and show this container or label.
- Inhalation: avoid breathing dust that may be generated by manipulating the product. Move to fresh air in a well-ventilated area. Contact your doctor if the exposure was significant in terms of quantity or time ..

Special hazards arising from the substance
- Hazardous Combustion Products: thermal decomposition or combustion may cause the release of toxic fumes and dangerous COx.
Advice for fire-fighters
- Recommendations protection techniques: do not attempt to extinguish the fire without the use of a self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA) and appropriate protective clothing.
- Devices for Special Protection for fire-fighters: Wear boots, gloves, eye and face protection, respirators comply with the relevant standards UNI EN for Italy and for Europe. Tools given in the best conditions of precaution on the basis of the information in the previous subsections.
Accidental release measures
Personal precautions, protective equipment and emergency procedures
Protective equipment for non-emergency personnel
- Eyes: Wear appropriate protective equipment (see section 8).
- Skin: Wear clothing with full body protection.
- Airway: In case of fire and / or explosion do not breathe fumes and vapors. Use a self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA) and appropriate protective clothing. The vapors can be removed by spraying with water.
Individual protection measures, such as personal protective equipment
If the results of the risk assessment carried out in accordance with Directive 98/24/EEC (In Italy, Legislative Decree no. 81, April 9, 2008, as amended) show that the general and collective prevention are not sufficient to reduce the risk, and if you can not avoid exposure to the substance by other means must be adopted adequate personal protective equipment, comply with the relevant technical standards UNI / EN.
a) Eye / face: Safety glasses according to EN 166, face shield.
b) Skin protection
- Hand protection: Wear protective gloves. The glove material has to be impermeable and resistant to the product / the substance / the preparation. Material: Nitrile (nitrile rubber), hypoallergenic. Thickness: not less than 0.12 mm.
- Other, protection Choose body protection must be chosen depending on activity and possible exposure, eg. boots, chemical-protection suit according to the EN 14605 in case of splashes or EN ISO 13982 in case of dust.
c) Respiratory protection: If the risk assessment shows the need for air-purifying respirators, use a dust mask type P1, P2 and P3 (EN 143). Use respirators and components tested and approved under appropriate government standards such as NIOSH (U.S.) and CEN (EU). In case of brief exposure or low pollution use respiratory filter P1 for dust category 2a (inert dusts with TLV 10 mg/m3) Immediately remove all soiled and contaminated clothing apparatus.
d) Thermal hazards: Not provided for in the standard practice of using the substance. Assess any personal protective equipment according to specific conditions of use of the same.
Environmental precautions
In case of accidental release or leakage avoid that the substance reaches discharges and can reach surface water or groundwater.
Methods and materials for containment of the reclamation:
- Containment: Collect all the material spilled on the ground with appropriate protective equipment and put it in a clean, dry container.
- Methods of cleaning up: Recover the substance for suction or other mechanical means and wash the area thoroughly with water and detergents. Send to the storage waiting for the company specialized disposal. If the payment is done on the highway or public place, adequate precautions must be taken in order to protect people from any risk.
Handling and storage
Precautions for safe handling
- Recommendations for safe handling: Keep away from sources of ignition. Handle in a well ventilated room. Avoid contact with materials / incompatible substances.
Wear appropriate PPE. Keep the substance away from the waste water.
- Recommendations of occupational hygiene: Do not eat, drink or smoke in work areas. Wash hands after use. Remove contaminated clothing and PPE before entering areas in which food is consumed.

Exposure controls / personal protection
Control parameters
