Accidental release measures

Emergency measures in case of spillage: Verschuettetes Eisenmethansulfonat ist mechanisch unter

Vermeidung von Staubbildung aufzunehmen (z.B. mit

baumustergeprueftem Industriestaubsauger) und unter

Beachtung nationaler und kommunaler Vorschriften zu

entsorgen. Dabei Haut- und Augenkontakt sowie Einatmen des

Stoffes vermeiden und zwar durch Tragen der unter

"Handhabung" beschriebenen persoenlichen Schutzausrüstung.

Abfallbehaelter gemaess TRGS 201 kennzeichnen

Take up spilled iron methane sulphonate mechanically

avoiding the formation of dust (e.g. using an industrial

vacuum cleaner of approved type) and dispose of in

accordance with national and local regulations. Avoid skin

and eye contact as well as inhalation of the substance by

wearing the personal protective equipment described under

"handling".

Handling and storage

Handling: Alle Arbeitsverfahren sind grundsaetzlich so zu gestalten,

dass der Augenkontakt mit dem Stoff ausgeschlossen ist. Das

Einatmen des Stoffes sowie der Hautkontakt sind zu

vermeiden.

Bei Abfuell-, Umfuell- und Dosierarbeiten sowie bei

Probenahmen sollten staubdichte Vorrichtungen verwendet

werden. Beim Umgang in offenen Systemen ist moeglicher Staub

unmittelbar am Entstehungsort abzusaugen. Wenn technische

Absaug- oder Lueftungsmassnahmen nicht moeglich oder

unzureichend sind, sollte geeigneter Atemschutz (z.B.:::)

etragen werden. Zur Vermeidung von Hautkontakt sollten

gepruefte Schutzhandschuhe (z.B. aus PVC) und ggf.

Schutzkleidung (z.B.:::) getragen werden. Ein sicherer

Augenschutz (z.B. Korbbrille ggf. zusaetzlich mit

Gesichtsschutzschild) ist unbedingt erforderlich.

In unmittelbarer Naehe des Arbeitsbereiches sollten

Augenbrausen bereitgestellt und ihr Standort auffaellig

gekennzeichnet werden.

Bei moeglicher Staubentwicklung sollten wegen der

potentiellen Stauboxplosionsgefahr potentielle Zuendquellen

aus dem Arbeisbereich entfernt werden. Des weiteren sollten

Maßnahmen gegen elektrostatische Aufladungen getroffen

werden.

All work processes must always be designed so that eye

contact with the substance is excluded. Inhalation of the

substance and skin contact must be avoided.

Dustproof equipment should be used during filling, transfer,

metered feeding and sampling. In the case of handling in

open systems any dust that may form must be extracted

directly at the point of origin. If technical extraction or

ventilation measures are not possible or are insufficient,

suitable respiratory protection (e.g.:::) should be worn. In

order to avoid dermal contact, tested gloves (e.g. made of

PVC) and, if appropriate, protective clothing (e.g.:::)

should be worn. Safe eye protection (e.g. tightly fitting

goggles with an additional face shield) is absolutely

essential.

Eye douches should be made available in the immediate

vicinity of the working area and their location

conspicuously labelled.

If there is the possibility of dust forming, due to the

potential dust-explosion risk, potential ignition sources

should be removed from the working area. Furthermore,

measures should be taken to prevent static discharge.

Storage: Die Lagerung sollte in den Originalbebinden oder anderen

bruchsicheren und vorschriftsmaessig gekennzeichneten

Behaeltern erfolgen. Behaelter dicht geschlossen halten,

gegen Herabfallen sichern und an einem kuehlen, gut

geluefteten Ort unter Ausschluss von Feuchtigkeit

(kristallines Eisenmethansulfonat ist stark hygroskopisch)

aufbewahren.

Produktreste an/auf den Behaeltern vermeiden.

Storage should take place in the original packing drums or

other unbreakable containers that are labelled according to

the regulations. Keep containers tightly closed, secure them

against falling and store in a cool, well-ventilated place

away from moisture (crystalline iron methane sulphonate is

highly hygroscopic).

Avoid product residues on the containers.
