First-aid measures
DESCRIPTION OF FIRST AID MEASURES:
- Eye Contact: Rinse immediately with plenty of water, also under the eyelids, for at least 15 minutes. Get medical attention immediately if irritation persists.
- Skin Contact: Wash off immediately with soap and plenty of water while removing all contaminated clothes and shoes.
- Ingestion: Clean mouth with water and drink afterwards plenty of water. Get medical attention if symptoms occur.
- Inhalation: If respiratory irritation or distress occurs remove victim to fresh air. Seek medical attention if respiratory irritation or distress continues.
MOST IMPORTANT SYMPTOMS AND EFFECTS, BOTH ACUTE AND DELAYED:
- No information available.
Fire-fighting measures
EXTINGUISHING MEDIA:
- Dry chemical, CO2, water spray or alcohol-resistant foam.
SPECIAL HAZARDS ARISING FROM THE SUBSTANCE OR MIXTURE:
- Dust can form an explosive mixture in air.
ADVICE FOR FIREFIGHTERS:
- Positive pressure self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA) and structural firefighters’ protective clothing will provide adequate protection.
Accidental release measures
PERSONAL PRECAUTIONS, PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT AND EMERGENCY PROCEDURES:
- Wear protective gloves/clothing and eye/face protection. Avoid dust formation.
ENVIRONMENTAL PRECAUTIONS:
- Prevent further leakage or spillage if safe to do so.
METHODS AND MATERIAL FOR CONTAINMENT AND CLEANING UP:
- Clean up promptly by sweeping or vacuum. After cleaning, flush away traces with water.
Handling and storage
PRECAUTIONS FOR SAFE HANDLING:
- Ensure adequate ventilation.
CONDITIONS FOR SAFE STORAGE, INCLUDING ANY INCOMPATIBILITIES:
- Store in a cool, dry place, in original containers or in suitable tightly sealed containers.
SPECIFIC END USE(S):
- Food industry.

Exposure controls / personal protection
CONTROL PARAMETERS:
- Exposure Limits Based on data available for ingredients.
- DNEL/DMEL – Workers.
- DNEL/DMEL - General population.
EXPOSURE CONTROLS:
- Hygiene Measures: Handle in accordance with good industrial hygiene and safety practice. Regular cleaning of equipment, work area and clothing is recommended. Avoid contact with eyes, skin and clothing. Wear suitable gloves and eye/face protection.
- Engineering Measures: Use only with adequate ventilation.
PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT:
- Respiratory Protection: If exposure limits are exceeded or irritation is experienced, NIOSH/MSHA approved respiratory protection should be worn. Respiratory protection must be provided in accordance with current local regulations.
- Eye Protection: Tightly fitting safety goggles.
- Skin and Body Protection: Long sleeved clothing.
- Hand Protection: Protective gloves.
Stability and reactivity
REACTIVITY:
- Stable under normal temperatures and pressures.
CHEMICAL STABILITY:
- Stable under normal conditions.
POSSIBILITY OF HAZARDOUS REACTIONS:
- None under normal use conditions.
CONDITIONS TO AVOID:
- None known.
INCOMPATIBLE MATERIALS:
- None in particular.
HAZARDOUS DECOMPOSITION PRODUCTS:
- None under normal use conditions.
Disposal considerations
WASTE FROM RESIDUES/UNUSED PRODUCTS:
- Dispose of wastes in an approved waste disposal facility. Dispose of contents/containers in accordance with local regulations.
CONTAMINATED PACKAGING:
- Dispose of empty containers and wastes safely. Dispose of waste product or used containers according to local regulations.
