Description of key information

Due to the very low water solubility of the substance, the hydrolysis study cannot be performed and the hydrolysis half-life is expected to be >12 hours. Therefore, the environmental hazard assessment for the submission substance, octaphenylcyclotetrasiloxane is based on the properties of the parent substance itself in accordance with REACH Guidance for Chemical Safety Assessment (Chapter R.16; ECHA 2016).
