Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

The biodegradation of the test material in water is reported to be readily biodegradable.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Biodegradation in water:
readily biodegradable

Additional information

The biodegradation of the test material in water has been addressed on a weight of evidence basis.

The first source is a company material safety data sheet by Sigma Aldrich (2012). The test material was reported to be readily biodegradable under aerobic conditions with a degradation of > 70 %. Information regarding the methodology followed was not included in the abstract. The second source is a QSAR prediction (EPISuite) using the model BOWIN v4.10, which has not been validated for this chemical. EPISuite predicted that the test material is readily biodegradable. Both sources have been assigned a reliability score of 4, according the principles for assessing data quality as set out in Klimisch (1977).
