Skin Irritation: There was one key study and one supporting study identified regarding the skin irritation potential of diethylene triamine in rats.
Eye Irritation: There was one key study and one supporting study identified concerning the eye irritation potential of diethylene triamine on the rabbit eye.

Additional information

The two studies indicate severe skin damage after treatment with diethylene triamine. After one minute of exposure, skin appeared partly necrotic with marginal reddening.

Two studies indicated severe irreversible corneal damage up through 8 days of observation post-administration with DETA in both washed and unwashed eyes.
