IUCLID 6 is available

A new version of IUCLID, used for creating REACH and CLP dossiers, is now available for companies to use. Manuals and plug-ins are also updated. The new version of REACH-IT is planned for 21 June and R4BP 3 for 5 July.

SME Innovation Associate: connecting SMEs with researchers

The European Union recently launched a EUR 7 million pilot action aiming to support dynamic SMEs in recruiting researchers to explore innovative business ideas. Enterprises have until 30 June 2016 to submit a 10-page application explaining the business idea, the required skills and the envisaged role of the researcher within the company. The EU will support the best 90 applications with a grant covering 100 % of the salary of the researcher for one year. The EU will also give international visibility to the job vacancies and provide a training programme for both the researchers and the supervisors in the companies. Interested?

Harmonised classification and labelling

ECHA has launched a public consultation on the harmonised classification and labelling proposals for methylmercuric chloride (EC 204-064-2, CAS 115-09-3). The substance is classified in Annex VI to the CLP Regulation as part of the group of organic mercury compounds. It is used as a laboratory chemical. We invite you to comment the hazard classes: acute toxicity, germ cell mutagenicity, carcinogenicity, reproductive toxicity, specific target organ toxicity — single exposure and specific target organ toxicity — repeated exposure. Submit comments by 13 June 2016.

ECHA closed

Our IT-tools and support closed from 5 to 9 May

REACH-IT, R4BP 3 and ECHA's support services will be closed for a long weekend from the Ascension Day 5 May. They will reopen on Tuesday 10 May at 10:00

ECHA's switchboard will also be closed during 5-9 May and open again on 10 May 2016 at 9:00.

The PIC submission tool, ePIC, remains open at all times.
