Executive summary:

Test objective:

to determine the water solubility of the test substance at a given temperature

POCEDURE

The solubility in water of a subsatnce is specified by the saturation mass concentration of the test substance in water at a given temperature.

A preliminary trial was performed to determine the approximate amount of the sample and the time necessary to achieve the saturation mass concentration.

The results of the test allowed to select the appropriate method: if solubility is less than 10^-2 g/L, the column elution is used, if not, the flask method is used.

METHOD:

The column elution method was used.

5 samples were analyzed.

The repetability was inferior to 30%: 18.9% maximum

RESULTS:

The solubility in water at 20.2 °C of the test substance was:

81 mg/L

Description of key information

In compliance with OECD Guideline No.105(1995) EEC Directive 92/69-Method A6(1992), the solubility in water at 20.2°C of the test substance was 81 mg/L

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Water solubility:
81 mg/L
at the temperature of:
20.2 °C
