Additional information

The bioaccumulation of AC-6000 in fish was studied in accordance with OECD guideline 305 (Kurume Laboratory, 2006b).

In this GLP-compliant study yearling of carp (Cyprinus carpio) was exposed to 0.1 and 1 μg/L (nominal concentrations) under flow-through conditions at 25 ºC. The test concentrations were analytically verified and were maintained at more than 91% of nominal concentrations. The steady-state bioconcentration factors (BCF) were 2,400 L/kg at 0.1 μg/L and 2,600 L/kg at 1 μg/L. During the test no abnormality in behaviour or appearance was noted. The BCF of 2,600 L/kg is used in the assessment.
