Description of key information

For honeybees (Apis mellifera) an EC50 of > 100.7 µg/bee in the contact test and >151.96 µg/bee in the oral toxicity test is reported.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

Two acute studies with honeybees (Apis mellifera) are available (Waltersdorfer 1998 and 1999) according to EPPO Guideline No. 170 (adopted 1992). In the contact toxicity test, two concentrations, 50.4 and 100.7 µg/bee, were applied. In the oral toxicity test, 0.01, 0.1 and 1% of the test substance in the diet was administered. Neither of the tests revealed mortality at the highest concentration investigated. Thus, it is concluded that the LD50 is > 100.7 µg/bee in the contact test and >151.96 µg/bee in the oral toxicity test.
