Description of key information

No acute toxic effects were observed at the maximum solubility of the test substance. However, the test substance degraded completely during the course of the study.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

One short term limit test with Pseudokirchneriella subcapitata according to OECD 201 and GLP is available (Christ and Ruff, 1998). In the static test system, the concentration of the test item was shown to be 1.26 mg/L at test start (maximum solubility under the tested conditions) and below the detection limit of 0.026 mg/L at test end after 96 h. Under these conditions, no acute toxic effect on Pseudokirchneriella subcapitata was observed. It can be concluded that the substance hydrolyse during the study period and the substance was also exposed to the hydrolysis products.
