Preliminary test

An endothermic heat effect, the boiling, was detected starting at 281.3°C. After the experiment, the sample had lost about 99.6% of its mass, was molten and brownish in color.

Main test

DSC-runs were recorded between 230°C and 320°C with a heating rate of 5 K/min. In the first main test run, the boiling range was determined to be between 282.1°C and 293.8°C and in the second main test run between 279.8°C and 297.8°C. During these runs, the samples lost about 99.9% and 99.3% of their mass, respectively. After the measurement the sample cube was empty. Only a small brown ring remained.

Conclusions:
The boiling range of TIC2782 (T002907) was determined to be between 280.9°C and 295.8°C (554.1 K and 569.0 K) using DSC.

Description of key information

A GLP study was performed according to OECD guideline 103 and EU Method A.2 without deviations (Weissenfeld M, 2006) . The boiling range of T002907 was determined to be between 280.9°C and 295.8°C (554.1 K and 569.0 K) using DSC.
