Additional information

Triiron bis(orthophosphate) EC 239-018-0, CAS 14940-41-1 is inorganic solid white powder. The substance has a melting point > 400°C and therefore a study for boiling point does not need to be conducted. The substance is considered as a poorly soluble metal compound based on the result from a 101 days water solubility test according to OECD 105 (1.5 mg/L at 20 °C with a loading 200 mg/L).

Overall, it can be concluded that Triiron bis(orthophosphate) is not considered to possess any of the following hazardous physical-chemical properties: autoflammability and/or self-ignition, flammability, explosiveness and oxidising properties.

Thus, the substance does not meet the classification criteria for physical-chemical hazard in accordance with Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008 (CLP) and the Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labelling of Chemicals (GHS). The substance is not classified.
