Additional information

HFC 227ea is released only in the atmosphere during its manufacture and use.

Due to the high vapor pressure and to the predicted low adsorption potential, HFC 227ea is expected to distribute mainly in the atmsopheric compartment following its emission into the environment.

A low adsorption potential to soil and sediment is expected in view of the low octanol-water partition coefficient odf HFC 227ea

The environmental distribution of HFC227ea was estimated be means of the Fugacity Model Level I (2002), under the assumption that 100% release occurs in air. The Level III model’s results indicated that HFC 227ea would partition mainly into the air compartment (100%) and less than 0.02%in water. No partitioning expected in soil and sediments.
