Applicant's summary and conclusion

Interpretation of results:
not inherently biodegradable
Executive summary:

HMPPJC attained 24% degradation after 28 days and so, therefore, cannot be considered as inherently biodegradable udner the stric terms and conditions of the OECD Guidelines.

The standard material, Digol, attained 99%degradation after 28 days, thereby confirming the suitability of the inoculum and culture conditions.
pF values did not drop below 6.7 in any culture vessel during the course of the study and were adjusted to pH 7.4 daily. Dissolved oxygen levels remained at approximately 6.4 mg O2/l or above in all cultures at all times.
