Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

In a 21-day chronic toxicity study, Daphnia magna were exposed to test substance at 0 (control) and 100% of a saturated solution of the test substance under flow-through conditions in accordance with the OECD 211 guideline. The water pH, temperature and dissolved oxygen were within acceptable guideline specifications.

The following overall effect concentrations (mg/L) are based on reproduction (living offspring per introduced female) as the primary population relevant response and were obtained based on an undiluted (100%) saturated solution: LOEC > 100% saturation, NOEC ≥ 100% saturation.

No significant mortality, reduced reproduction or any other additional significant adverse effects or abnormal behavior were observed in any of the test treatments. The given water solubility limit of the test substance is < 5 μg/L (information from the sponsor). The concentration of test substance in test media could not be verified analytically. The test organisms were exposed under flow-through conditions to a saturated solution of the test substance in test media prepared continuously with a saturation column. According to guidance in OECD 23, if an effect can not be detected in a test with a saturated solution the results should be reported as no toxic effects at saturation.
