Description of key information

Vapor pressure reported in handbooks: 116 hPa to 129 hPa (20°C)
Vapor pressure reported in authoritative databases: 124 hPa (20°C) to 133 hPa (21°C)

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Vapour pressure:
129 hPa
at the temperature of:
20 °C

Additional information

According to the data reported in handbooks and authoritative databases, Thionyl chloride exhibits a vapour pressure of 116 hPa to 129 hPa at 20°C. A vapour pressure of 129 hPa at 20°C was retained as key value on the basis of worst-case assumption. Besides, this value is consistent with available secondary data which report a vapour pressure of 116 hPa at 20°C and 119.3 hPa at 21°C for Thionyl chloride.
