Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

The long-term effects of the substance on early-life stages of Danio rerio were investigated in GLP study following OECD TG 210 (Isopropanol Amines Consortium, 2022; report no. S21-05543).

A range finder showing no adverse effects at the highest test concentration of 10 mg/L was done beforehand. As no adverse effects occured, the final test was conducted as an extended limit test in accordance with OECD guideline 210, section 22.

The test was conducted under flow-through conditions with nominal concentrations of 1.00, 3.16 and 10.0 mg/L and control with an exchange rate of six times per 24 hours. The test item concentrations were analytically verified and proved to be stable within acceptable limits; therefore, the effect values are expressed as nominal concentrations. The validity criteria of the guideline were met. The study is valid.

Fertilised eggs were exposed to the substance. Hatchability, post-hatch survival, cumulative mortality as well as length and weight (fresh and dry) were evaluated. In addition, the behaviour of the hatched larvae was observed. No statistically significant effects on any endpoint were seen at any test concentration. The LOEC values are > 10.0 mg/L (nominal). The NOEC was observed at >= 10.0 mg/L  (nominal).

It can be concluded that with high probability long-term effects on fish are not expected (NOEC >= 10 mg/L).
