First-aid measures

Emergency measure - Inhalation: Remove patient to fresh air. Symptomatic treatment, seek

medical attention.

Emergency measure - Eyes: Rinse with copious quantities of water and consult a

physician.

Emergency measure - Skin: Carefully brush off gross contamination then wash with soap

and water.

Emergency measure - Ingestion: Symptomatic treatment. Seek medical attention.

Fire-fighting measures

Recommended extinguishing agent: Recommended extinguishing agents: Foam, carbon dioxide, dry

powder and water spray are suitable extinguishing agents.

Product arising from burning: Products arising from pyrolysis: Combustion products may

contain carbon and sulfur oxides together with hydrogen

fluoride and other fluorinated aliphatic substances,

cyclopentadiene and isopropylbenzene.

Protective equipment: Protective equipment: A self-contained breathing apparatus

should be worn.

Accidental release measures

Emergency measures in case of spillage: Carefully sweep up, avoiding dusting. Avoid contact with

the substance. Wear protective overalls, gloves, goggles

and a dust mask. Place waste in a suitably labelled,

securely closed container for disposal by incineration.

Handling and storage

Handling: Avoid skin and eye contact and breathing dust. Wear

goggles, protective gloves and overalls. Avoid dust

formation (eg when using mixing equipment). Ensure good

ventilation, wear a dust mask if dust exposure occurs or is

anticipated. Protect against direct UV light as far as

reasonably practicable.

Storage: Store in unbreakable, tightly closed containers that are

clearly labelled. Empty containers should be collected

together and kept securely closed in a specific area to
