Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

Acute tests on all three trophic levels were performed to examine the aquatic toxicity of the test substance. The results of short-term toxicity studies on fish and daphnids demonstrated that the L(E)C50-values are in the same range (19.2 mg/L for algae, 22.5 mg/L for fish and 42 mg/L for daphnids). The NOECs on the growth of algae (3.46 mg/L) and the reproduction of daphnids (3.08 mg/L) in long term studies were also determined to be in the same non-critical range. It is assumed that results of a long-term study on fish would also be in the same order of magnitude as the results of the provided long-term results on algae and daphnids. Therefore, and for reasons of animal welfare, a long term study in fish is not provided.
