First-aid measures

IF exposed or if you feel unwell: Call a POISON CENTER or doctor/physician.

All equipments and plants have automatic alarms and containment systems based on specific planning norms.  

Handling and storage

1,2,4-Triazolo(4,3-a)Pyridin-3(2H)-one is a pharmaceutical intermediate only used in a chemical syntesis, under strictly controlled conditions.  

The production and use process are performed in reactors in "closed cycle". Workers handle the substance in glove box, under vacuum or using localized intake.

Exposure controls / personal protection

During all  process workers follow the internal procedure and wear appropriate PPE.

Only trained and authorised personnel handle the substance. The workers are provided with training (procedures during the normal handling and during the malfunctioning of the process and in accidental situations with the actions to be taken in order to safeguard  themself and other workers at the workplace) and with the safety date sheet and the label for each substance they use.

Stability and reactivity

Stable under normal conditions of use.

Disposal considerations

The gaseous emissions are treated with a two-stage system; the substance emissions in the atmosphere are excluded.

The liquid waste are conveyed to the water purification plant or to the external disposal plants.

The solid waste are conveyed to the external disposal plants.
