- Under the study conditions, the 48-h EC50 to Daphnia magna was therefore > 100 mg/l (nominal), equivalent to a mean measured concentration of 110.4 mg/L. The substance is not acutely harmful to aquatic invertebrates.
- Executive summary:
A study was conducted to determine the short-term toxicity of the test substance to Daphnia magna according to OECD Guideline 202. Twenty daphnids were exposed to a nominal concentration of 100 mg/L for 48 h under static conditions. Analytical dose verification was conducted using spectrophotometry. Test substance concentrations were considered stable over the duration of the test. No immobilised animal was reported in the control and test substance treated groups. Under the study conditions, the 48 h EC50 in Daphnia magna was therefore > 100 mg/l (nominal), equivalent to a mean measured concentration of 110.4 mg/L (Brown, 1988).
