Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Stability - Hydrolysis

In a key study (K1, BASF SE 2013), the test item was testec according to OECD TG 111 and found to be hydrolytically stable at pH 9 and 50 °C leading to a t0.5 of >= 1 year. Due to the insolubility at pH7 and pH4 the study was technically not feasible for these pH ranges even when solubilizer (1% acetonitrile) was used. This is in accordance with Regulation 1907/2006 (EC) Annex XI general rules for adaption of the standard testing regime set out in Annexes VII to X, section 2, testing may be omitted. Due to the properties of the test substance, testing is technically not possible. Therefore, an experimentally determined t0.5 value for pH4 and pH7 cannot be provided.

Biodegradation - Screening Test

In a key study (K1, BASF SE 2012), the test item was tested according to OECD TG 301B for ready biodegradability. The biodegradation was determined by measuring the CO2 evolution. The degradation rate after 28 days was found to be 0-10%. Hence, the test item can be regarded as poorly biodegradable.

Transport and distribution - Adsorption/Desorption

In a key study (K1, BASF SE 2012), the test item was tested according to OECD TG 121 for adsorption/desotrption properties. With a log Koc ranging from 2.0 to 3.5 at pH 2.1 and a log Koc from 2.7 to 5.0 at pH 7, adsorption to solid soil phase is expected.
