First-aid measures

Emergency measure - Inhalation: Remove person to fresh air. Symptomatic treatment.

Emergency measure - Eyes: Rinse immediately with large amounts of water for at least

15 minutes. Seek medical attention if irritation persists.

Emergency measure - Skin: Wash with large amounts of water and soap.

Emergency measure - Ingestion: Seek medical attention.

Fire-fighting measures

Recommended extinguishing agent: Carbon dioxide, dry chemicals or foam may be used.

Containers should be cooled with water spray.

Accidental release measures

Emergency measures in case of spillage: Wear suitable protective clothing (see 2.3.1).

Sweep up spill and transfer to suitable labelled containers.

Dispose of by incineration in accordance with local

regulations. Wash spill site with water, avoid loss to water

courses.

Handling and storage

Handling: Ensure adequate ventilation. Gloves (EN 374 or equivalent)

and safety goggles (BS 2092 or equivalent) should be worn.

Storage: Store in tightly closed containers at room temperature in a

dark, dry, well ventilated area. Avoid contact with open

flames or other potential sources of ignition.

Packaging of the substance and or preparation: Sealed unbreakable containers, 18 litre tin containers

holding 16 kg of substance.
