Registration Dossier

Data platform availability banner - registered substances factsheets

Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

First-aid measures

Emergency measure - Inhalation: Remove casualty to fresh air. If breathing is difficult,

give oxygen. If breathing ceases give artificial

respiration. If signs of toxicity occur seek immediate

medical attention.

Emergency measure - Eyes: Flush affected eye with copious amounts of water for at

least 15 minutes. Seek medical attention.

Emergency measure - Skin: Remove contaminated clothing. Wash affected area with

copious amounts of water for at least 15 minutes. If signs

of irritation persist seek medical attention.

Emergency measure - Ingestion: Drink copious amounts of water, seek medical advice

immediately or consult the poison information centre.

Fire-fighting measures

Recommended extinguishing agent: Water

Product arising from burning: Carbonmonoxid, carbondioxid, oxides of nitrogen, oxides of

sulphur

Product determined by test: N

Protective equipment: Fire-fighters should wear full protective clothing and

self-contained breathing apparatus. Fire exposed containers

should be cooled using a water spray.

Accidental release measures

Emergency measures in case of spillage: As a minimum a dust/mist respirator, chemical safety goggles

and gloves should be worn when cleaning a spill. A

disposable suit and self-contained breathing apparatus

should be worn when cleaning large spills. Sweep material

onto paper. Place in a fibre drum.

Use an industrial vacuum cleaner. The spill area should be

ventilated and decontaminated after material has been

cleared. Material should be disposed of in accordance with

national regulations.

Handling and storage

Handling: SQ 29,707 should only be used in areas with adequate

ventilation. Local exhaust ventilation should be used in

areas where the material is handled to minimise dust

production.

Skin and eye contact should be avoided so latex gloves and

chemical safety goggles should be worn. Inhalation of dust

should be avoided so a NIOSH approved and properly fitted

dust/mist respirator should be worn.

Hands and face should be thoroughly washed after handling of

the substances.

In order to avoid any dust formation, use dust proof

filling/refilling systems.

Storage: SQ 29,707 should be stored in sealed unbreakable containers

in a cool, dry place. The substance should be protected from

heat, moisture and air.

Avoid product residues on the containers.

Disposal considerations

Industry - Possibility of recovery/recycling: not possible

Industry - Possibility of neutralisation: No chemical neutralisation method is known.

Industry - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: Not recommended

Industry - Possibility of destruction - incineration: Incineration is acceptable provided that a closed-cycle

incenerator with scrubbers is employed. National

regulations must be observed

(661) Incinerator with flue gas scrubbing

Industry - Possibility of destruction - water purification: Not recommended

Industry - Possibility of destruction - other: Not recommended
