Guidance on Safe Use
Administrative data
First-aid measures
If in contact with skin:
wash immediately with large amounts with water. Wash hands and all contaminated areas with water. Remove clothes and shoes.
Gently wash with plenty of soap and water.
If in contact with eyes:
rinse immediately with large amounts of water. Rinse cautiously with water for several minutes. Remove contact lenses, if present and easy to do.
Continue rinsing. Get medical attention if irritation occurs or persists.
If inhaled:
Remove victim to fresh air and keep at rest in a position comfortable for breathing.
Get medical attention immediately.
If swallowed:
Rinse mouth.
Get medical attention immediately.
Fire-fighting measures
Suitable fire extinguishing media: Use regular dry chemical extinguisher
The product is not flammable.
Toxic gases may be formed.
In case of fire:
Evacuate area.
Fight fire with normal precautions from a reasonable distance.
Wear suitable respiratory equipment.
Total impervious protective suits, gloves, and boots must be worn.
Accidental release measures
Keep public away from danger area.
Environmental precautions :
Prevent entry to sewers and public waters. Notify authorities if product enters sewers or public waters.
After spillage and/or leakage :
Sweep or shovel spills into appropriate container for disposal.
Avoid dust production.
Do not breathe dust.
Do not get in eyes, on skin, or on clothing.
Use only outdoors or in a well-ventilated area.
Wear protective gloves, eye and respiratory protection.

Exposure controls / personal protection
measures for workers:
Use gloves, eye protection and wear suitable protective clothing. Do not use contact lenses.
Avoid inhalation of dust.
Wear respiratory protection mask (type P3 or FFP3).
technical measures:
Occupational Exposure Limit Value - (8h, TWA) as F= 2,5 mg/m³.
Use in a well-ventilated area.
Provide a local exhaust ventilation system at the sources of emission.
Do not eat, drink or smoke when using the substance.
Stability and reactivity
Stable under normal conditions, but hydrolysable in aqueous solution. Do not use at temperatures higher than 620ºC due to decomposition.
Avoid temperatures higher than 390ºC. Avoid contact with water, acids, oxidising agents, cyanides. active metals,s uch as Al or Mg. Not soluble in organic solvents. Dissociation reaction provides hexafluorosilicate as product, which hydrolyses providing fluoride and release of HF being possible. At temperatures higher than 390ºC, SiF4 and NaF are formed.
Disposal considerations
Dispose waste according to local/regional/national regulations.
Containers should be carefully cleaned before disposal.
