Administrative data

First-aid measures

Eye contact:       Immediately flush eyes with water for at least 15 minutes, lifting eyelids. Consult a physician immediately.

Skin contact:       Remove the contaminated clothing and shoes. Wash immediately the affected area with running water until the removal of the substance. Consult a physician immediately.

Ingestion: Drink immediately plenty of water. Do not induce vomiting, seek medical advice immediately. Never give anything if the person is unconscious.

Inhalation: In case of inhalation, move person to fresh air. Seek medical advice immediately.

Fire-fighting measures

Suitable extinguishing media: Water, Carbon dioxide (CO2), Foam, Dry powder.

Unsuitable extinguishing media: not known.

Special hazards arising from the substance: Flammable material; vapours are heavier than air and may spread along floors. Development of hazardous combustion gases or vapours possible in the event of fire Fire may cause evolution of nitrogen oxides, Sulphur oxides, Hydrogen cyanide (hydrocyanic acid).

Accidental release measures

Advice for non-emergency personnel: Avoid substance contact. Do not breathe vapours, aerosols. Ensure adequate ventilation. Evacuate the danger area, observe emergency

procedures.

Advice for emergency responders: Stop the leak, if it can be done safely. Absorb the spill with absorbent inert materials (e.g. vermiculite, sand or earth), wearing appropriate personal protective equipment, and dispose of in accordance with current regulations. Wash the area with water.

Environmental precautions: in case of accidental release or spill of significant quantities, prevent entry of the substance into waterways and sewers;  if the substance has entered into waterways or sewers, notify the authorities.

Handling and storage

Avoid contact with skin and eyes. Avoid inhalation of vapour/aerosol.

Keep container tightly closed in a dry and well-ventilated place. Keep away from open flames, hot surfaces and sources of ignition. Protected from light.

Exposure controls / personal protection

Eye protection:       Wear safety glasses (EN 166).

Hand protection:       Wear protective appropriate gloves (EN 374).

Respiratory protection:       In case of generation of vapour/aerosol, use appropriate masks (EN 140).

Stability and reactivity

The substance reacts with strong oxidizing agents; gradually reacts with water and alcohols.

Disposal considerations

Comply with local and national regulations regarding waste disposal.
