2021-01-11 to 2022-01-20
Reliability:
1 (reliable without restriction)
Rationale for reliability incl. deficiencies:
guideline study
Qualifier:
according to guideline
Guideline:
OECD Guideline 105 (Water Solubility)
Version / remarks:
1995
GLP compliance:
yes (incl. QA statement)
Type of method:
flask method
Key result
Water solubility:
2.03 g/L
Conc. based on:
test mat.
Loading of aqueous phase:
10 g/L
Incubation duration:
72 h
Temp.:
20 °C
pH:
6.7
Conclusions:
The solubility of the test item was determined at 20 °C to be 2.03 g/L (pH 6.7) for the samples with pre-incubation times of 24, 48 and 72 h.
Executive summary:

The water solubility of the test item was determined according to the OECD Test Guideline no. 105 for Testing of Chemicals (1995), and GLP. The method used was the Flask Method. The application dose utilized was 10 g/L which was more than the fivefold of the solubility determined for the preliminary test (approx. 1 g/L).

The study was conducted at 20 ± 0.5 °C. The test mixture replicates were pre-incubated at 30 ± 0.5 °C with constant stirring at approx. 300 rpm for 24, 48, and 72 h. An aliquot of 10 mL of the centrifuged samples was transferred directly into a clear glass vial and checked for Tyndall-effect. The prepared samples were analyzed via Gas Chromatography. The water solubility after 72 h of the test item as determined to be 2.03 g/L (20 °C, pH 6.7).
