First-aid measures

In case of Inhalation:

If breathing is difficult, remove to fresh air and keep at rest in a position comfortable for breathing.

Call a physician if symptoms develop or persist.

Skin contact: Wash off with soap and plenty of water. Get medical attention if irritation develops and persists.

For minor skin contact, avoid spreading material on unaffected skin.

Eye contact: Immediately flush eyes with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes. Remove contact lenses, if present

and easy to do. Continue rinsing. Get medical attention if irritation develops and persists.

Ingestion: Rinse mouth. If ingestion of a large amount does occur, call a poison control centre immediately.

Get medical attention if any discomfort continues.

Protection of first-aid responder:

If you feel unwell, seek medical advice (show the label where possible). Ensure that medical

personnel are aware of the material(s) involved, and tale precautions to protect themselves.

Notes to physician :Symptoms may be delayed. Show this safety data sheet to the doctor in attendance.

Fire-fighting measures

Extinguishing Media: Water fog. Foam. Dry chemical powder. Carbon dioxide (CO2). Dry sand.

Extinguishing media to avoid: Avoid water in straight hose stream; will scatter and spread fire.

Special hazards: Fire may produce irritating, corrosive and/or toxic gases.

Accidental release measures

Personal precautions, protective equipment and emergency measures:

Keep unnecessary personnel away. Local authorities should be advised if significant spillages cannot be

contained. Wear appropriate protective equipment and clothing during clean-up. Do not touch or walk

through spilled material.

Environmental precautions:

Prevent further leakage or spillage if safe to do so. Avoid discharge to the aquatic environment.

Clean-up methods and materials and containment measures:

Should not be released into the environment. This product is miscible in water.

Large Spills: Dike the spilled material, where this is possible. Cover with plastic sheet to prevent spreading.

Use a non-combustible material like vermiculite, sand or earth to soak up the product and place into a

container

for later disposal. Following product recovery, flash area with wear.

Never return spills in original containers for re-use.

Handling and storage

Handing

Technical measures: Shower, hand and eye washing facilities near the workplace are recommended.

Do not use in areas without adequate ventilation.

Local and general ventilation: Mechanical ventilation or local exhaust ventilation is required.

Precautions: When using, do not eat, drink pr smoke. Wash hand thoroughly after handling.

Avoid release to the environment.

Safe handing advice: Wear suitable protective clothing, gloves and eye/face protection.

Storage

Technical measures: Store in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight.

Suitable storage conditions: Keep container tightly closed. Keep out of the reach of children. Use care in

handling/storage. Store in accordance with local/regional/international regulation.

Safe packaging materials: Use appropriate container to avoid environmental contamination.

Exposure controls / personal protection

When your own wastewater treatment plant is not available, collect entire waste and then charge to

licensed industrial waste management professional with manifests for industrial waste.
