Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

The vapour pressure of the UVCB Polyglycerine sample was measured, with significant contribution from water present. The vapor pressure of the subsance exclusive of water is expected to be equal to or lower than that of the primary component (glycerine) which is also expected to be most volatile component.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Vapour pressure:
0.022 Pa
at the temperature of:
25 °C

Additional information

The vapor pressure of the UVCB Polyglycerine sample, containing 4.98% wt water was 490 and 658 Pa at 20 and 25 °C, respectively. The vapor pressure of the subsance exclusive of water is expected to be equal to or lower than that of the primary component (glycerine) which is also expected to be most volatile component. The vapor pressure of glycerine has been measured in the Key Study at 50, 100, and 150 °C; giving values of 0.33, 26.0, and 573 Pa respectively. The extrapolated VP at 25 °C is 0.0223 Pa, using the prediction equation and associated critically-reviewed and accepted VP vs. Temp. data of the DIPPR Database v5.2.2
