Preliminary test

From 250°C upwards the weight of the sample decreased significantly. At 347°C the sample weight had decreased by 25%. After the experiment, black residue was observed on the lid of the sample container and a charred residue remained in the sample container (original colour: yellow to orange). The change of the colour indicated reaction and/or decomposition of the test substance.

 

Main study

No effects were observed which were due to melting and/or boiling of the test substance. Exothermic effects starting at 225°C were indicating reaction and/or decomposition of the test substance. After the experiment, black residue was observed on the lid of the sample container and a charred residue remained in the sample container (original colour: yellow to orange). The change of the colour indicated reaction and/or decomposition of the test substance.

Applicant's summary and conclusion

Conclusions:
Reaction and/or decomposition of the test substance was observed starting at 225°C (498K). Boiling of the test substance was not observed below this temperature. Based on this, the test substance has no boiling temperature.
