Type:
relative density
Density:
0.967 g/L
Temp.:
20 °C
Remarks on result:
other: relative density at 20 °C in reference with water at 4 °C

The obtained value is the mean result of three determinations at 20 ± 0.5 °C:

Relative density = density (kg/m3) / 999.975 (kg/m3) (density of water at 4°C).

The average density at 20°C ± 0.5 °C of the test item is 967 kg/m3.

Conclusions:
The relative density at 20°C/4°C of nopol (CAS No. 35836-73-8) was determined to be 0.967.
Executive summary:

The determination of the relative density was performed in accordance with Regulation (EC) No 440/2008, method A.3 “Relative density” (May 2008) and OECD Guideline No 109 “Density of liquids and solids” (July 1995).

The oscillating densitimeter method was used.

Three measurements were performed at 20°C ± 0.5°C. The relative density 20°C/4°C of nopol was determined to be 0.967.

Description of key information

The density was determined with an oscillating densitimeter.
The relative density 20°C/4°C of nopol is 0.967.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Relative density at 20C:
0.967

Additional information

Key study conducted according to OECD 109 Guideline and EU Mehod A.3. The result is scientifically acceptable but not obtained under GLP.

Therefore a reliability of 2 (reliable with restrictions) is assigned.
