- PREPARATION AND APPLICATION OF TEST SOLUTION (especially for difficult test substances)
The substance has very low water solubility (<0.05 mg/L). Therefore the test solution was prepared according to OECD 23 by mixing 500.51 mg in 5L test medium (M4) and stirred for about 1 day. Undissolved test substance was removed with a membrane filter (pore width 0.2 micrometer).
The aqueous fraction of the test solution after separation of the undissolved material is a water accommodated fraction and is considered analogous to nominal concentration.

The test substance is poorly soluble in water (water solubility estimated <0.05 mg/L). All reasonable efforts were taken to produce a saturated solution of the test substance in test media, following the guidance in OECD 23. The test substance had no observable acute effect onDaphnia magnaup to its saturation limit in test media and under test conditions.
The concentration of the test substance in test media was below the limit of quantification (0.05 mg/L) and could not be verified analytically. According to guidance in OECD 23, for tests with chemicals that cannot be quantified by analytical methods at the concentrations causing effects, the effect concentration can be expressed based on the nominal concentrations.
The results in this study are consistent with all validity criteria and the test is valid according to the guidelines of this study.
