Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Remarks on result:
other: The SD of pKa ± 0.02

The dissociation constant (pK) was calculated for chosen 10 points of the titration curve from the first interval in which the incereas of pH is negligible (the well buffered region).

The result is the mean value of 3 replicates.

Conclusions:
The measured dissociation constant (pK) of ASC plus in water at 20.0 ± 1.0°C was 4.44.
Executive summary:

The dissociation constant(s) of 6-[[(4-methylphenyl)sulphonyl]amino]hexanoic acid were determined according to the OECD guideline 112 (Dissociation constant in water) by titration of a solution of the test item with 0.05 M sodium hydroxide. The test was conducted at 20.0 ± 1.0 °C and three replicates were performed. The measured dissociation constant (pK) was 4.44 ± 0.02.

Description of key information

The measured dissociation constant (pK) was 4.44.
