Description of key information

The effect of biomass was greater than the effect on growth rates over the 72 hour test period.

The ErC50 and EbC50 values are in the same order of magnitude and either can be used for classification purposes.

The results based on growth rates are cited below.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

EC50 for freshwater algae:
9.4 mg/L
EC10 or NOEC for freshwater algae:
5.5 mg/L

Additional information

The study was performed in 1995 using valid OECD methodology and performed in accordance to GLP requirements.

However, the report does not fully evaluate the data and the EC10 and NOEC have been derived based on tabulated data. There was no supporting analysis performed, although the substance is known to be stable.
