Registration Dossier

Data platform availability banner - registered substances factsheets

Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

First-aid measures

Emergency measure - Inhalation: If signs/symptoms develop, remove person to fresh air. If

signs/symptoms persist, get medical attention.

Emergency measure - Eyes: Flush eyes with large amounts of water. If signs/symptoms

persist, get medical attention.

Emergency measure - Skin: Wash affected area with soap and water. If signs/symptoms

develop, get medical attention.

Emergency measure - Ingestion: Do not induce vomiting unless instructed to do so by medical

personnel. Give victim two glasses of water. Never give

anything by mouth to an unconcious person. Get medical

attention.

Fire-fighting measures

Recommended extinguishing agent: Use fire extinguishers with class B extinguishing agents

(e.g. dry chemical carbon dioxide).

Product arising from burning: At elevated temperatures, hydrogen fluoride and toxic vapor

may arise upon decomposition.

Product determined by test: N

Protective equipment: Water may be used to blanket the fire. Exposure to extreme

heat can give rise to thermal decomposition. Wear full

protective equipment (Bunker Gear) and a self-contained

breathing apparatus.

Accidental release measures

Emergency measures in case of spillage: Evacuate unprotected and untrained personnel from hazard

area. The spill should be cleaned up by qualified personnel.

Ventilate the area with fresh air. Contain spill. For

larger spills, cover drains and build dikes to prevent entry

into sewer systems or bodies of water. Working from around

the edges of the spill inward, cover with bentonite,

vermiculite, or commercially available inorganic absorbent

material. Mix in sufficient absorbent until it appears dry.

Collect as much of the spilled material as possible. Clean

up residue with an appropriate solvent selected by a

qualified and authorized person. Read and follow safety

precautions on the solvent label and MSDS. Colect the

resulting residue containing solution. Place in an approved

metal. Seal the container. Dispose of collected material as

soon as possible.

Handling and storage

Handling: For industrial or professional use only. Avoid breathing of

vapors, mists or spray. Do not eat, drink or smoke when

using this product. Wash exposed areas thoroughly with soap

and water. Avoid skin contact with hot material. Do not

breath thermal decomposition products. Do not smoke while

using this product. Store work clothes separately from other

clothing, food and tobacco products. Avoid contact with

oxidizing agents. Avoid continuous exposure of the material

to extreme conditions of heat, i.e., above 150 °C (welding,

open flame, misuse or equipment failure). Avoid exceeding a

watt density of 50 watts/inch2 from a heater surface.

Contineous exposure to 150°C results in very slight

decomposition of this product and therefore, is a very

conservative use temperature threshold. Applications

involving exposure of the fluid to temperatures exceeding

150°C or watt densities exceeding 50 watts/inch2 have been

safely implemented.

Storage: Keep container in well-ventilated area. Keep container

tightly closed. Store away from heat. Store away from

oxidizing agents.

Packaging of the substance and or preparation: 1 Gallon   -  12 Pound ( glass flask ) = 5.5 kg

3.25 Gallon -  40 Pound ( metal container : drum ) : 18.1 kg
