Fire-fighting measures

Suitable Extinguishing Media: Use media appropriate for primary cause of fire. Water spray, carbon dioxide, dry chemical powder, alcohol or polymer foam.

Fire Fighting Instructions: Wear full protective clothing and approved country specific self-contained breathing apparatus with full face piece operated in the pressure demand or other positive pressure mode.

Accidental release measures

Methods of Cleaning and Collecting: Carefully recover material and place in an appropriate waste disposal container.

Wash surfaces containing residue with large quantities of water and collect for disposal or flush to a chemical sewer or approved municipal treatment system. Never flush to a storm sewer.

Environmental Precautions: Contain material and prevent release to waterways or soil.

Handling and storage

Exposure controls / personal protection

Engineering Controls: Utilize appropriate engineering controls ( i.e. hood, glove box, or process enclosure) when handling open containers of this compound.
