Calibration:

Measured value of the surface tension of water: 70.825 mN/m

Surface tension of water at the test temperature: 72.899 mN/m

Calibration factor is: 72.899/70.825 = 1.0293

The calibration factor was determined by measuring the surface tension of water and comparing with the value available in the laboratory instrument files.

The corrected value was taken from a table compiled on the basis of the Harkins-Jordan correction.

Applicant's summary and conclusion

Conclusions:
The surface tension of T002113 in water (at a concentration of about 0.1%) was determined to be 68.5 mN/m at 19.9°C +/-0.4°C. Based on the criteria as outlined in the OECD Guideline, T002113 is not a surface active substance.
