Details on study design: HPLC method:
Stock solutions of the reference substance at concentrations of 1000 mg/L in methanol were used. 10 µL of the stock solution was within the 390 µL tetrahydrofuran and 400 µL of 0.1 M phosphate buffer pH 7. The blank solution for the mixture of reference substances was 1/3960 (v/v) methanol/tetrahydrofuran /0,1M phosphate buffer pH 7.
A 1000 mg/L stock solution of the test item was prepared in tetrahydrofuran. The stock solution and the solutions of reference substances were diluted to obtain an end solution of 40/60 (v/v) tetrahydrofuran/0.1M phosphate buffer pH 7. The final concentration of the test item was 10.0 mg/L. The test item blank solution was 40/60 (v/v) tetrahydrofuran/0.1M phosphate buffer pH 7.
The reference substance and test item solutions were injected in duplicate. Blank solutions were analysed by single injection.

Details on results (HPLC method):
The UPLC-UV chromatograms for the test item solution showed a single test item peak. The Koc and logKoc values of the test item at pH 7 were 4.2x103 and 3.62 respectively.
Conclusions:
The HPLC method using soil-adsorption-reference was applied for the determination of the adsorption coefficient (Koc) of Disperse Blue 359. The Koc and logKoc values of the test item at pH 7 were 4.2x103 and 3.62 respectively.
Executive summary:

The HPLC method using soil-adsorption-reference was applied for the determination of the adsorption coefficient (Koc) of Disperse Blue 359. The Kocand logKocvalues of the test item at pH 7 were 4.2x103and 3.62 respectively.
