Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

The toxicity of the substance has been measured experimentally in marine fish species (sheepshead minnows). Due to the extremely low water solubility of the target substance (TS), the study was conducted using Water Soluble Fractions (WSF) and completed as limit tests.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Fresh water fish

Effect concentration:

Marine water fish

Effect concentration:
10 000 mg/L

Additional information

The 96 -h LL50 of the TS to marine fish is >10000mg/l. The substance is, therefore, considered not toxic to saltwater fish. Based on read across from structural analog data, the substance is expected to be non-toxic to freshwater fish species as well (96 -h LL50 > 1000 mg/L).

Nevertheless, adequate controls will be in place during production and use to ensure that the substance is not released to the environment.
