In accordance with Column 2 of REACH Annex IX, the study needs not to be conducted if direct and indirect exposures of soil are unlikely. Also from the R7 guidance this study is not needed if the exposure of sediment is so low that no refinement of the PECregional is required. According to the CSA evaluation for environment and the resulting estimation of the aquatic exposure, the PEC regional for sediment is low and the resulting risk ratio obtained gives a RCR < 1. Additional testing is therefore not necessary.
