Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

The No-observed Effect Concentration (NOEC) and 48-hour EC50 value for the test substance were both found to be in excess of 103 mg/L (nominal concentration 100 mg/L).

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

An acute Daphnia immobilisation test was performed by Huntingdon Life Sciences, UK, to determine the effect of the test substance on aquatic invertebrates. The study was conducted in accordance with OECD and EC test guidelines, and in compliance with GLP.

The test was performed at a nominal limit concentration of 100 mg/L; the measured concentration, determined by LC-MS, at the end of the 48 -hour test period was determined to be 103 mg/L. No Daphnia were found to have been immobilised at the end of the test period. The test substance was not found to be toxic to Daphnia Magna when dissolved in water at a measured concentration of 103 mg/L (nominal concentration 100 mg/L). Neither the 48-hour EC50 nor the no-observed effect concentration of the test substance could be identified for immobilisation of Daphnia magna.

On this basis, the 48 hour EC50of the test substance is estimated to be >103 mg/L, and the no-observed effect concentration (NOEC) is estimated as 103 mg/L.
