Additional information

For Blankophor TP 1160 (CAS 1200448-68-5) no data on the toxicity to aquatic organisms are available. Therefore studies conducted with a similar substance (CAS 16470-24-9) are used for the aquatic hazard assessment. A detailed justification for the analogue approach and read-across is provided in the technical dossier (see IUCLID Section 13).

For the read-across substance (CAS 16470-24-9) data on the toxicity to aquatic organisms for all trophic levels (fish, daphnia, algae) and on the toxicity to microorganisms are available. In short-term tests on fish, daphnia, algae and microorganisms no effects were observed at concentrations below 100 mg/L. One long-term study on the reproduction of the water flea Daphnia magna resulted in a 21d-NOEC of 6.59 mg/L, which confirms the low impact of the substance to aquatic organisms.

Concluding from the results obtained with the read-across substance (CAS 16470-24-9) for Blankophor TP 1160 no adverse effects on aquatic organisms are expected.
