Conclusion on classification

The substance fulfils all criteria for aquatic environment chronic hazard:

- Absence of ready biodegradability, based on experimental data for the complete substance and confirmed by BioHCwin and BioWin QSARs for its components;

- Expected BCF > 500 for most of the components, based on BCFBAF QSARs;

- log Kow> 4 for all components.

Applicable classification:

According to CLP: Aquatic Chronic 4/H413: May cause long lasting harmful effects to aquatic life.

The substance is not classified for acute aquatic toxicity to pelagic organisms because of its very low water solubility and based on ECOSAR predictions of an absence of toxicity.

Significant adsorption is expected, leading to potential exposure to sediment. No relevant hazard data were localized.

However, further studies are not required asthe conditions of Commission Regulation (EC) No 134/2009, §3.2 (b) and (c) are fulfilled by demonstrating an absence of exposure to the environment. See section 9 and 10 of the CSR.
