Conclusion on classification

Based on acute toxicity data for fish, invertebrates, and aquatic plants, the substance does not need to be classified for acute toxicity according to EU Classification, Labelling and Packaging of Substances and Mixtures (CLP) Regulation (EC) No. 1272/2008. Based on the existing acute and chronic data (NOEC growth rate = 0.6 mg/l in a 72 hr algal growth inhibition test) and the fact that the test substance is not readily biodegradable, the substance should be classified as Chronic Env. Tox. Category 2 (H411: Toxic to aquatic life with long lasting effects) according to the EU Classification, Labeling and Packaging regulation.
